London, UK, 26 April 2016-Nikon has released the Android™ version of the SnapBridge app, which enables constant connection of a compatible Nikon digital camera to a smart device*1 using Bluetooth® low energy technology.

SnapBridge is an app that offers users a number of convenient services by utilising Bluetooth® low energy technology to enable the seamless connection between a Nikon digital camera and a smart device, all while consuming very little power.

SnapBridge is available in iOS and Android™ versions, and can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store® and Google Play™. The iOS version of the app is scheduled to be available from the App Store® later this summer.

SnapBridge will be a standard feature in almost every new Nikon camera from 2016 onwards, beginning with the Nikon D500 available in stores as of today.
